Creedal Confessions

How would you define the word "creed?"  Are creeds something you just say or are they a system of belief? Or are creeds something you live by every day?  Or might they be all three? This week we explore the creeds (or confessions) of the church asking how and why we use them in worship– and how and why they are important in our understanding of our reformed and always reforming faith traditions. Mostly we will see how the Spirit has inspired the writing and adopting of these affirmations of faith over the centuries, giving language to help give our witness to our faith as followers of Jesus.
