Giving Trees

Passage: Mark 8:27-38
Reflection: This week Jesus asks His disciples an important question: Who do you say that I am? Almost in the same breath, He then gives direction to any and all who would seek to follow Him: “Let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
What does it mean to “take up” our cross? What does our “cross” look like? What does it require us to do? To be? To become? How does it feel to carry your cross - Burdened? Weighed down? Tired or weak? Ask: Does the cross you carry ever make you feel…happy?
