Passage: Mark 9:33-10:44
Reflection:
Our readings this week come from two different chapters in Mark’s gospel, but both center on conversations that Jesus’s disciples have regarding who is the greatest among them and who will have positions of power in His Kingdom. It’s interesting to me that Jesus brings a little child onto His lap and lifts her up as an example to them of how they ought to approach their faith – with child-like wonder, innocence and an eagerness to grow up into the men or women they were created to be.
"Come to me like one of these little children," Jesus says. But notice: He never says to act childishly, does He?
