Passage: Amos 5:18-24

Reflection

Life comes with many "tests" for which we are called to be prepared.  These tests sometimes come in the form of hardships, but they also come in every opportunity we are given to serve those in need and work for justice for those who've been locked out and kept on the margins.  This week let's consider how we may stay prepared and be ever-ready for the hard work of the Kingdom until justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Questions for Reflection

In our fast-paced world, daily encounters with delay are sometimes difficult to accept.  How can we be intentional in practicing the presence of God, cultivating steadiness and peace in our lives and the world while extending God's hospitality and love?  How can such spiritual attributes empower us to be better advocates in working to create a more just and equitable world?
