Real Food and Drink

FREE FOOD! FREE DRINK! COME EAT AND DRINK! Who wouldn’t want to hear these words! Sadly, when we do, we often overstuff ourselves, eating quickly and not even thinking – or even tasting(!) – the goodies set out before us. That’s too bad – we need to slow down to truly taste and see and appreciate the food and drink we’re given. This goes for spiritual “food” and “drink” – the real and free blessings which come from a relationship with God – who provides us with, well, everything. On Sunday, let’s listen to Isaiah and be reminded of the real food and drink God gives to us – and let’s slow down together and learn to appreciate them.
