Who's Feeding You?

Passage: John 6:1-14
Reflection:
The familiar story of the "Feeding of the 5,000" will shape our celebration of World Communion Sunday - a tradition begun in 1933 by Presbyterians (score!) and recognized across denominational lines throughout the world. In this special celebration, all Christians recognize and give thanks for who it is that feeds us - namely, Jesus. We recognize, too, His call to us all to feed the hungry and to lift others up spiritually. And I think it also gives us pause to consider our own daily "diets" of the hate-filled distractions coming into our homes seeking constantly for our attention.
